Capture Memories

Booking a photographer without the back-and-forth

A concept marketplace for booking photographers and videographers. Hiring one is usually a chain of messages — are you free, what do you charge, can I see work like mine — and every link is a chance to lose the booking. This set puts availability, portfolio and rate on the same screens, and gives the photographer a schedule view of what has been booked against them.

The idea

The failure mode when booking a photographer is not the software, it is the sequence: availability lives in one message, the rate in another, and the work somewhere else entirely. Any one of those going unanswered ends the booking.

So availability, portfolio and rate sit together. A listing shows the work, the review count and the slots that are actually open, and the booking screen confirms date, time, photographer and contact in one card rather than as a conversation to be reconstructed later.

The schedule view is the other half of the marketplace — the photographer’s own day, with what has been booked against it — because a two-sided product that only designs one side is half a product.
