Party Pad

Venue booking that settles the whole event in one pass

A concept booking product for event spaces. Venue booking is one of the few consumer flows where the price genuinely depends on four things at once — which date, which slot, which space and how many people — so a wizard that hides the total until the end is guessing on the customer's behalf. This set keeps a booking summary visible while those four are chosen.

The PartyPad venue search, showing a calendar, filters and venue results.

The idea

Four variables set the price of an event space: the date, the time slot, the type of space and the head count. Change any one and the total moves.

Which is why the booking summary is on screen while they are being chosen rather than revealed at the end. A checkout that surprises someone with the real number after they have filled in their guest list is not a checkout, it is a negotiation they did not agree to.

The screens

  • Search for a venue and book your event, with filters and venue cards.

    Find a venue

  • Booking calendar with date selection, time slots and pad type.

    Date, slot and space

  • Payment options with user details, guest details and a running booking summary.
